one needs a change in hairstyle AND

one is bored AND

one is undecided between letting thinning hair grow long(ish) OR keeping short hair short(er) AND

one looks at recent photos and gasps in horror at one’s never-ending forehead AND

one is adventurous

THEN

one should try one’s hand(s) at cutting one’s own hair

INSTEAD OF

going to the hair salon only to come out looking like a Pomeranian took residence above one’s nose.
